Queen Elsa of Arendelle was the first Disney Queen till she gave her position to her sister, Anna and becoming the leader of Northuldra people.Elsa has the magical ability to create and manipulate ice and snow. She inadvertently sends Arendelle into an eternal winter on the evening of her coronation in the first film. Throughout the film, she struggles first with controlling and concealing her abilities and then with liberating herself from her fears of unintentionally harming others, especially her younger sister.. Elsa is voiced mainly by Broadway actress and singer, Idina Menzel. She is the perfect mythic character- magical and larger than life. She should also be the most feministic Disney character who is fiercely independent and hadn't required a man by her side at all. The way she battles the soldiers of the Duke in frozen and faced the dark sea in frozen 2 was just awesome. The way she sang 'let it go' with the perfectly synced scenes gave the fans goosebumps. 'Into the Unknown' was awesome whereas 'show yourself' was emotionally fantastic. Elsa has received largely positive reception from reviewers, who praised her complex characterization and vulnerability. Menzel was also widely praised for her vocal performance of Elsa, especially that of her performance of the song "Let It Go". Fifty animators worked on the scene in which the castle is built, and one frame required 30 hours to render. They later extended similar techniques to Elsa's clothing. While the traditional Norwegian rosemaling was the inspiration for her costuming early in the film, her ice gown was designed similarly to her palace, with snowflakes heavily influencing the style. Her cape itself is a large snowflake.
In December 2013, Elsa and Anna were both nominated for Best Animated Female by the Alliance of Women Film Journalists, with only Anna winning the award, a few weeks later. Elsa won all three awards out of three nominations at the 2013 Visual Effects Society Awards, including Outstanding Animated Character in an Animated Feature Motion Picture, Outstanding Created Environment in an Animated Feature Motion Picture for her ice palace, and Outstanding FX and Simulation Animation in an Animated Feature Motion Picture for her blizzard. Her signature song, "Let It Go", won Best Original Song at the Academy Awards, a Grammy Award, the Phoenix Film Critics Society Awards and the Critics' Choice Awards, and also received Golden Globe Award, the Satellite Awards, the Broadcast Film Critics Association Award, and the Houston Film Critics Society Award nominations.
Time ranked Elsa as the most influential fictional character of 2014.
Queen Anna of Arendelle is the only current Disney princess since her sister gave her the position. She is primarily voiced by Kristen Bell. Film critics praised Anna's determination and enthusiasm in her personality and Bell for her performance in the films. In the images of Frozen's main characters released by Disney in July 2013, Anna and her role in the film was described as follows:
Anna is more daring than graceful and, at times, can act before she thinks. But she’s also the most optimistic and caring person you’ll ever meet. She longs to reconnect with her sister, Elsa, as they were close during their childhood. When Elsa accidentally unleashes a magical secret that locks the kingdom of Arendelle in an eternal winter, Anna embarks on a dangerous adventure to make things right. Armed with only her fearlessness, a never-give-up attitude and her faith in others, Anna is determined to save both her kingdom and her family.
Anna's travel outfit generally consists of magenta, black, dark and light blue, with flowery designs on the bottom of her dress.
Collider.com writer Matt Goldberg referred to Anna as a character who "can go from cute to melancholy to odd to defiant and never miss a beat". Emma Koonse of Christian Post described her and Elsa as the "most lovable and charismatic characters yet", while Tony Hicks of San Jose Mercury News wrote that both Anna and Elsa were depicted as devoted from the start, and "[Anna's] confusion and Elsa's anguish as she shuts herself away from the world—and her sister—is palatable." Deepanjana Pal from First Post commented that Anna "is very much a child who needs to grow up and she does in the course of the film." The Wall Street Journal suggested that the character become more endearing for being "exactly the free spirit she seems to be". Noah Lee of The Coast News was impressed by the heroine duo Anna and Elsa, and said, "I never lost interest in the drastic measures Anna took or the tribulations Elsa faced." Both Anna and Elsa were nominated for Best Animated Female by the Alliance of Women Film Journalists, with only Anna winning the award. Frozen also won Women Film Critics Circle award in the same category.
The frozen franchise had been something different presented to the audience around the world by Disney. The franchise dominated the hearts of boys and girls, both young and adults equally. Both the films rank one and two in the list of highest grossing animated movies of all time. The frozen (2013) is the only film in the top 10 list without any prequels or which are the remakes of any.
In this site, you will see,in detail, about every sphere of an animated film in which frozen excels.
hope you find my informations reliable.
Frozen franchise began in 2013 with their first instalment which went in to become the highest grossing animated movies of all the time. What's more.... It's the only animated movie in the top five list which has got no prequel. Now that's something. The story revolves around the life of two closely bonded sister, elsa and anna .elsa has no control over her powers and as a result hurts anna accidently. Due to guilty feelings, she isolates herself from anna. When the coronation day comes, she lost her control over her powers in front if everyone and escaped into the mountains. The story advances with anna journeys along with kristoff, sven and olaf to get back elsa and bring back summer(elsa has accidently set the entire kingdom on snow).
Then in 2015,a short film was released by the franchise. Frozen fever was indeed an awesome short film released by the franchise along with cinderella of 2015.it stream only about 5 minutes and features a song.its the first birthday of anna since the gates had been opened and elsa plans to make it a special day but she catches extreme cold and almost ruins her party. But in the end anna says "the best birthday present ever." to elsa to which she enquires "which one? " and anna answers , "you letting me take care of you. "
In 2016,after a sequel was confirmed for frozen to be released in 2019,everyone was so despairingly waiting for it. But as a surprise, they released a second short film on 2017 along with coco. It streamed about 22mins and features four songs.the first christmas arrives after the gates are opened and elsa, anna and olaf makes a surprise for the people of the kingdom but they ignored it and goes to their own homes for their family traditions. When our trio discovers they have no family traditions, elsa grieves by saying that it is because of her that they don't have a tradition.but their best friend olaf, tries to help them by collecting the family traditions of every family in the kingdom along with sven.but he loses everything due to an unfortunate accident.at the same time, elsa and anna had discovered their family tradition by searching the attic.sven returns to the kingdom and informs everyone that olaf is in danger.everyone goes looking for him in the forests.at last elsa and anna finds him under a tree.they comforts him by saying that they had discoverd that olaf is their family tradition.it was he,who proved the sisters love for each other when they were seperated from each other(see the movie for the reason).the film ends with a wonderful, emotional song which is somewhere high in the list.
At last(for now... Hopefully ),in 2019 november 19,the sequel to 2013 frozen was released. Frozen 2 made record opening collection. With just two months, it dethroned it's own prequel to become the highest grossing animated movie of all time with about 1.45 billion dollars and it's sequel with 1.325 billion dollars. Unfortunately, the film didn't get any academy awards and not even a nomination for best animated film because there is a good reason. You won't understand the depth of the film without the prequel and since oscar's doesn't consider the prequels, it's obvious. Although, into the unknown got nomination for the best song.
Even though the film ends with olaf asking if there will be any more adventures and elsa answering "no, we're done",jennifer lee had asked the fans to wait for a year for confirmations on a sequel.
